| Our newest
program, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a partnership with the University
of South Florida’s Department of Pediatrics. Under the direction
of USF's Medical Director Dr. Lynn Ringenberg, the van's medical team
consists of a nurse practitioner, licensed practical nurse and resident
physicians from USF Medical School. Volunteer dentists and dental assistants
are provided through collaboration with Hillsborough Community College
and the Hillsborough County Dental Society. Now in its second year of operations, the Care Mobile continues to expand their visits to include as many schools as possible given the limitations of their schedule. There have already been so many success stories and positive outcomes, that the staff cannot help but be enthusiastic in their mission. For more information
about scheduled visits by the Care Mobile, contact Jeannette
Fleisher at (813) 259-8754. Ronald
McDonald Care Mobiles are on the Road Bringing
Care Where It’s Needed Most RMHC is working to change this. In an effort to provide access to health care for underserved children, Ronald McDonald House Charities has created the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile™ program. Through relationships with local healthcare providers, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program brings cost effective, high-quality medical and dental care directly to underserved children in both rural and urban areas. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles provide immunizations and health screenings, oral health services, diagnosis and treatment of chronic disease and health education to children who would otherwise go without health care. Pediatric
Care on Wheels Each 40-foot long, 8-foot wide Ronald McDonald Care Mobile houses medical and dental examination rooms including prenatal exam capabilities, a laboratory, digital radiography and a reception and medical records area.
