King Max and his scary monsters invite you all to join them for Ronald McDonald House Charities’ Storybook Ball 2008 WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE at Tampa’s A La Carte Event Pavilion.

Storybook Ball 2007 grossed over $400,000 for the operation of our three bay area Ronald McDonald Houses, which have served more than32,000 families since our inception 28 years ago. Families stay at the House for a nominal donation of just $10 per room per night, even though our actual costs have risen to $60 per night. We rely on special events such as this to offset these costs.

The highlight of each year’s event is the presentation of our Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay Award of Excellence and Community Grant to a very special and prominent guest. This year's recipient is Mike Alstott, recently retired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Like our past recipients, Tino Martinez of the New York Yankees, Derrick Brooks of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Coach John Tortorella (Tampa Bay Lightning), Actors Patrick Wilson and Angela Bassett, Tony Dungy, General H. Norman Schwarzkopf and George Steinbrenner, the honoree must closely fit our RMHC philosophy of lifting kids to a better tomorrow.
